DK: Deputy Commissioner issues orders on Containment measures
Mangaluru, Jan 21, 2022: The Dakshina Kannada Deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has issued orders in connection to the withdrawal of weekend curfew and other containment measures.
Order:
The Weekend curfew imposed from Friday 10 pm to Monday 5 am in the State is herewith withdrawn. However, Night Curfew will continue to be imposed from 10 pm to 5 am in the entire state asper the existing guidelines on all days. This measure will be further reviewed based on number of cases and hospitalization.
All other restrictions imposed vide aforementioned orders will continue to remain in force.
It is reiterated that all rallies, dharnas, congregations, etc, including social, religious, political protests, procession of any sort including but not restricted social, religious, political, etc, are strictly prohibited. However, Marriage functions are permitted to be conducted involving not more than 200 people in open spaces and 100 people in closed places strictly adhering to COVID 19 appropriate behaviour and prevailing guidelines issued by State Government.
It is reiterated that Pubs/clubs/restaurants/bars/hotels/eating places in hotel etc, will function with 50% of the seating capacity strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behaviour and entry to such places will be restricted to fully vaccinated persons.
Cinema halls/multiplexes/theatres/rangamandiras/auditorium and similar places to operate with 50% of its seating capacity strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behaviour and entry to such places will be restricted to fully vaccinated persons.
The intensive surveillance at the Kerala border shall continue as per the prevailing circular/guidelines issued by Department of Health and family Welfare, Govt. of Karnataka.
Strict enforcement of the guidelines:
Officials shall strictly implement the containment measures and enforce COVID 19 appropriate behaviour issued vide aforementioned orders under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
Any person, group of people, Society, Association of persons, Organization, Institutions, RWAs, etc, violating containment measures and not complying with COVID 19 appropriate behaviour issued vide aforementioned order under the
Disaster Management Act, 2005, should be proceeded against as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act-2020 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC, and other legal provisions as applicable.
