Heavy vehicle movement banned on Charmadi Ghat

Mangaluru, Dec 18, 2021: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K V has banned the movement of heavy vehicles on Charmadi Ghat with effect from December 18.

Vehicles allowed on the Ghats:
KSRTC Express Buses, Six tyre trucks, four-wheelers, Tempo Travellers, Ambulance, Car, Jeep, van, LCV (Mini Van), and two-wheelers are allowed to take this route round the clock.

Vehicles that are banned include:
Bullet tankers, Pickup Cargo containers and Long Chassis Vehicles, Heavy Commercial Vehicles, Multi axel trucks, truck trailers, KSRTC Rajahamsa, and all other such vehicles are completely banned.
