Light vehicles allowed on Charmadi Ghat with restrictions
Mangaluru, Aug 13, 2021: Dakshina Kannada district administration has allowed vehicle movement on NH 73 at Charmadi Ghat section with some restrictions.
The restriction has been imposed in the backdrop of monsoon and the possibility of landslide in the stretch.
Order says:
- Four-wheelers, tempo travels, ambulance car Jeep when mini van and two-wheelers allowed 24 hours.
- KSRTC express bus 6 wheel trucks are allowed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Bullet trucks, ship cargo containers, and long chases vehicles heavy commercial vehicles multi-axle trucks truck trailer KSRTC Rajahamsa and all types of heavy vehicles are banned.
Restrictions
People traveling on this road can not stop their vehicles on the roadside to view the scenery or waterfalls
Additional police staff will be deployed on the route
The deputy commissioner has warned strict action against the violators
