Gold worth Rs 36.43 lakh seized at Mangaluru Airport
Mangaluru, Dec 16, 2021: Officers of Mangaluru Customs seized 739-gram gold at Mangaluru International Airport on December 16.
Officials said that the value of the seized gold is Rs 36,43,270.
The gold was seized from a lady passenger hailing from Thalangara, Kasargod, Kerala.
She had arrived from Dubai by Air India flight. The gold in paste form mixed with solid gum was smuggled through concealment in a grey-colored plastic pouch and stitched inside the undergarment.
