Udupi: Truck driver killed in road accident
Udupi, Dec 14, 2021: A truck driver died and another injured in a road accident at Santhekatte today.
The incident took place around 1 am on Tuesday. The truck was moving from Kerala to Bhatkal.
Mohammed Taufiq (29) of Bhatkal, the driver died when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the signpost. Taufiq Nazurullah (32) who was in the truck sustained injuries.
Taufiq sustained serious injuries on his face, hands, and legs. He was rushed to the government hospital but died when he was being shifted to a private hospital for advanced treatment.
A case under IPC Section 279, 337, and 304 (A) is registered at Udupi Traffic Police Station.
