Thundershower: Cattle killed, houses damaged in Udupi

Udupi, Nov 02, 2021: Thundershowers in Udupi district has damaged two houses and resulted in the death of cattle.

Officials said the cattle owned by Parvathi Shedthi of Iduru Kunjadi in Kundapur Taluk died due to lightning. The roof and electric materials of the house owned by Vishwanath Vatkar of Belman village in Karkala Taluk have been damaged due to lighting.

The Pakka house of Sujatha of Brahmavar Taluk has been completely damaged.

As per the data on Tuesday morning Udupi district recorded an average rain of 22.9 mm. Udupi Taluk recorded the highest and Byndoor had the lowest.
