Dakshina Kannada: Four taken to custody in gangrape case
Mangaluru, Oct 09, 2021: Four people have been taken to custody in connection to the gang rape case in Bantwal.
A 16-year-old girl who was on her way to school on Friday was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped. The girl stated in the complaint that at 7 am on Friday she was going to school a known person known to her came in a white car and kidnapped her.
She complained that she was gang-raped later.
A case is registered against five people at Bantwal Police Station under Section 366 (a) (Procuration of Minor Girl), 376 (d) (Ganga Rape), 506 (Criminal intimidation) of IPC, and Section 04 and 06 of POCSO.
The police took into custody four accused. Two are accused of raping the girl.
