World Heart Day on Sept 29

Manipal, Sept 27, 2021: Kasturba Hospital, Manipal will organize an FB Live Panel discussion with the Cardiologists on September 29.

The program is held on the occasion of World Heart day 2021 from 5 pm to 6 pm.

Lockdown and COVID – 19 have affected people suffering from Heart-related disease. This is mostly due to a sedentary lifestyle. Though the consumption of junk and street foods has reduced during the pandemic, the sedentary lifestyle has caused people to gain weight and have health issues.

The “Work from home” and “Online classes”, also resulted in the people leading the inactive life with less concentration on physical activity and heart health.

Dr. Ashwal A J, Professor and Unit Head, Department of Cardiology, Dr. Guruprasad Rai D, Associate professor Department of Cardiac Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Gunjan Banga, Assistant professor, Division of Paediatric Cardiology and Suvarna Hebbar, Department of Dietetics will participate in the discussion.
