Attack on offices at Tripura: CPIM stages protest in Mangaluru
Mangaluru, Sept 11, 2021: Condemning the attack on CPIM offices at various places in Tripura, party leaders staged a protest at Clock Tower Circle today.
Blaming BJP for the attack on its offices, CPIM workers shouted slogans against the saffron party.
“The Communists who had ruled Tripura for 40 years had worked for the development of the state. The Communist government had also taken strict action against the separatists and ensured unity. Communists have played an active role in ensuring the state was not affected by separatist groups,” CPIM district executive committee member J Balakrishna Shetty said.
“BJP which took the reign of the state with the help of money power in the last election has lost the public support due to its anti-people policies. It is also terrorizing the people. By attacking the communists it has shown is fear,” he alleged.
CPIM Mangaluru City South secretary Sunil Kumar strongly opposed the attack in Tripura.
“The anger among the people will turn into a movement. There is an air of change,” he said.
