St Mary’s College observes Rashtriya Sadbhavana Diwas
Shirva, Aug 18, 2021: St. Mary’s College, Shirva observed ‘Rashtriya Sadbhavana Diwas’ on Wednesday.
Dr. Herald Ivan Monis, Principal of the college administered the pledge of ‘Sadbhavana.’
“It is observed in the country on Aug 20 to promote National Integration and Communal Harmony among all religions, languages, and regions. The idea behind observance of ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ is to eschew violence and to promote goodwill among the people,” he said.
This year the college observed ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ in advance as Aug 20 is a holiday on the occasion of Muharram.
Yashoda, Student Council Director, NCC officer Lieutenant K Praveen Kumar, NSS Programme officers Premanaatha, Raksha, Rovers, and Rangers Scout Leaders Prakasha, and Sangeetha, Students, Teaching and Administrative staff were present.
