CITU, AIKS hold protest in Mangaluru
Mangaluru, Aug 09, 2021: The Center of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) and All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) staged a protest at the Clock Tower Circle on Monday.
It was held as a part of the nationwide protest against the Corporate Companies looting the country.
“Narendra Modi came to power by promising ‘Ache Din,’ and good governance. But now he has not only failed to fulfill these promises but has also provided a free hand to the corporates to loot the country,” CITU state vice president Vasanth Achari alleged.
He said that privatization has entered education, health, defense, railway, power, and finance sectors. This will lead to an economic crisis, he feared.
CITU district general secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal blamed the government for its anti-farmer, anti-labor policies.
“Instead of helping the people, the government is pushing the people towards misery. People should unite against such a rule,” he declared.
CITU district leaders Jayanthi Shetty, Babu Devadiga, Bharathi Bolar, Yogish Jappinamogaru, Jayalakshmi Jappinamogaru, DYFI district leaders Santho Bajal, Naveen Konchadi, Dalitha Hakkugala Samithi leaders Timmayya Konchady, Krishna Tannirupantha participated in the protest.
CITU Mangaluru City leader Ravichandra Konchadi, Dinesh Shetty, Santhosh R S, Ahmed Bava, Mustafa, Siraj, Umavathi, Shabana, Sukanya, Pushpa, Nagesh Kotian, Ashok Shriyan, Dayananda Koppalakadu, and others led the protest.
