Weekend Curfew in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, Aug 06, 2021: Weekend curfew will be imposed in Dakshina Kannada and other districts in Karnataka bordering Kerala and Maharashtra.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai told this after meeting the experts at Bengaluru today.

“Experts and officials including the Chief Secretary attended the meeting. The present situation was discussed,” he said.

“Based on the discussed we have decided to impose weekend curfew in the districts bordering Kerala and Maharashtra. Meanwhile, the night curfew which exists in the state will now start from 9 pm instead of 10 pm and will be in force till 5 am,” he said.

The police officials have been asked to strictly implement the weekend and night curfew.
