Govt permits reopening of Medical Colleges
Udupi, July 16, 2021: With the number of Covid cases decreasing, the state government has permitted reopening of some of the academic institutions.
In the order issued on July 16, the state government has permitted re-opening institutions pertaining to Health and Medical Sector (Medical/Dental Colleges, Colleges and institutions related to Ayush, Nursing Colleges and other allied health care academic institutions/college, etc) with immediate effect.
The government has also put some conditions to the colleges
- Only students, teaching and non-teaching/other staff who have taken at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine will be permitted to attend the aforementioned college/institutions.
- The College and Institutions shall ensure strict adherence to Covid Appropriate Behaviour and SOPs/guidelines issued by the concerned department.
