Mangaluru, July 18, 2021: The state government has permitted colleges operating under Higher Education Department to reopen from July 26. However, attendance of students will be optional.

In the order, the state government has allowed the colleges and institutions pertaining to the higher education department to reopening by strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behavior and SOPs/guidelines issued by the concerned Department.

Only students, teaching and non-teaching other staff who have taken at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be permitted to attend the colleges/institutions.

The government has also allowed all skill development training including long-term technical courses by strictly following Covid Appropriate Behaviour.

The government has decided to continue to impose the night curfew but the time will now be from 10 pm to 5 am.
There is some good news for cinemagoers.

The government has allowed Cinema halls, multiplexes, theatres, rangamandiras, auditoriums, and similar places to operate with 50 percent seating capacity.
