Gold worth ₹ 20.89 lakh seized at Mangaluru Airport
Mangaluru, July 02, 2021: Customs officials at Mangalore International Airport seized 430-gram gold from a person today.
Moideen Munaisir Padinhar Mohammed of Puthur, Kasargod had arrived from Dubai by Air India Express flight on July 2.
Based on intelligence, the officials found him smuggling gold by concealing it in the rectum. The total weight of gold seized is 430 grams worth ₹ 20,89,800.
Officials have registered an offense case.
The team was lead by Praveen Kandi, Deputy Commissioner, and included Superintendents Rakesh Kumar, Vikas Kumar, Bikram Chakraborty, and others.
