Heavy rain to continue in Coastal Karnataka
Udupi, June 16, 2021: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Coastal Karnataka till June 18 morning.
Monsoon has intensified in the region and the coastal districts of Udupi, Uttara Kannada, and Dakshina Kannada are experiencing heavy rain for the last few days. As per the IMD alert heavy rain is likely to continue in the coastal districts for two more days.
Heavy rainfall warning:
Day 1 valid until 8.30 am on June 17:
Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall exceeds from 64.5 mm to 115.6 mm or more
Day 2 valid until 8.30 am on June 18:
Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and when rainfall exceeds from 64.5 mm to 115.6 mm or more
Day 3 valid until 8.30 am on June 19:
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka when rainfall exceeds 64.5 mm.
Day 4 valid until 8.30 am on June 20:
Heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and when rainfall exceeds 64.5 mm.
Day 5 valid until 8.30 am on June 21:
Heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and when rainfall exceeds 64.5 mm
