Alert issued as water level rises in Kadra dam
Karwar, June 16, 2021: With the water level in Kadra Dam nearing the maximum level, the people living downstream have been asked to shift to safer places and not to venture into the river.
Due to heavy rain in the catchment areas, the water level in the Kali river has been increasing in the last few days. While the maximum level of the dam is 34.50 meters, as on June 16 morning it had reached 30.60 meters.

“Keeping in the safety of the dam, water will be released once the water level reaches 32.50 meters. We request the people living downstream not to venture into the river and also shift themselves and take their cattle to safer places,” an announcement by KPCL Executive Engineer stated.
