Mangaluru Police seize MDMA, arrest two
Mangaluru, June 13, 2021: Mangaluru Police seized 65 grams of MDMA and arrested two persons on Sunday.
On Sunday Konaje Sub Inspector received a tipoff about MDMA (3,4-Methylenedioxy-Methamphetamine) drugs being transported from Uppinangady side to Kerala via Mudipu, Natekal road.
Following this information, PSI Mallikarjun Biradar and his team beefed up vehicle checking at Natekal Vijayanagara when they found the drugs in a car.
Two persons identified as Althaf and Shafiq of Kasargod who were in the car were arrested. On questioning, they said that they had purchased the drugs from Kammanahalli in Bengaluru.
According to the police, the 65 grams MDMA is worth ₹ 3.90 lakh. The Swift car, cash, and mobile phones of the accused have been seized. A case is registered at Konaje police station.
