Karnataka extends lockdown
Bengaluru, May 21, 2021: Karnataka government has declared to extend lockdown till June 7 morning.
Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa told this to the reporters after a meeting today.
“Due to the strict measures, Karnataka has succeeded in controlling Covid. The number of cases has notably decreased,” Yediyurappa said.
“Considering the health of the people and suggestions by the experts, we have decided to extend the strict measures for 14 days that is till 6 am on June 7. The existing guidelines will continue,” he said.
“People can go out for purchase from 6 am to 10 am. People are seen out even after 10 am. This will not be tolerated. Strict measures will be taken to follow the guidelines,” he added.
