Infrastructure, crops damaged due to heavy rain in Udupi
Udupi, May 18, 2021: Byndoor Taluk has experienced massive damage due to heavy rain in the last few days.
According to the data released by the district administration today, 62 houses were damaged. Of these 49 are in Byndoor Taluk and 8 from Brahmavar Taluk. Other cases are from Karkala, Kaup and Hebri.
The rain has also damaged the watermelon crop in 1.20-acre land at Bijur village in Byndoor taluk and the compound walls of several houses and public buildings.
