Police raid illegal gun manufacturing unit in Sullia
Mangaluru, May 11, 2021: Dakshina Kannada police have raided an illegal firearm manufacturing unit and arrested the manufacturer and three others related to the case.
Based on a tipoff that Divakar Achari (52) manufactured and kept a gun for sale, the police team led by Sullia circle Inspector Naveenchandra Jogi and PSI Omana and team raided a shed and seized one gun and one round of crude ammunition.
A case under Arms Act is registered.
Accused Diwakar has agreed that he had sold similar guns and sold them to some people. Based on this information the police arrested three people and seized the illegal gun.

- Diwakar Achari (52) of Nalkooru village, Sullia.
- Karthik (25) of Subrahmanya village, Kadaba Taluk.
- Ashoka A (35) of Bilinele village, Kadaba Taluk.
- Chandan (33) of Hosakoppalu Hanumanthapura village, Hassan.
