Police asked not to interrupt people going to purchase PDS food items
Mangaluru, May 11, 2021: Mangaluru City South MLA Vedavyas Kamath has said that he has spoken to the Deputy Commissioner and District In-charge Minister to ensure people going to purchase PDS food items do not face any problem during lockdown.
“There is no problem to bring PDS food materials during lockdown I have spoken to the District Incharge Minister and Deputy Commissioner in connection to this. Police have been asked to co-operate with the people going to take PDS food materials. People can go by showing their ration card,” Kamath said.
“Every PDS shop will be open from 7 am to 10 am. At 7 am the first 150 people will be given queue slip and provided with food materials. Ration will be distributed till the last date of every month and there is no need to panic. We will ensure everybody gets the PDS supply,” Vedavyas Kamath assured.
He requested the people to follow the lockdown and not venture out unnecessarily as it is enforced for their benefit.
