Uttara Kannada DC bans religious events

Karwar, April 20, 2021: Considering the increase in COVID cases, Uttara Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan MP has banned religious celebrations and events in the district.

All the Tahshildar’s in the district have submitted a report about the Jatre (annual festivals) in the coming days. Following this, the Deputy Commissioner has banned all the Jatre and religious programs and events.

The DC has warned that the respective Tahsildar’s will be held responsible if there are any violations.
