“We request you to kindly provide an MRI scanning facility in Karwar medical college through your CSR programme on an urgent basis, as for any MRI scan needs we are supposed to travel either Mangalore or Neighbouring Goa states, and these days With many Health issues ranging from Cancers to Accidents, most of the time we are adviced for MRI scan, for which we have to travel long distances,” the memorandum submitted to Kaiga stated.
“So setting up the MRI facility under your CSR fund in KIMS, Karwar, will benefit the larger population as it will cater to the most urgent requirement of the people suffering from various major health issues. Hence, this Will be a big boon to all the people in the surrounding NPCIL Kaiga areas,” Madhav Nayak requested in the memorandum.
The Vedike has also asked Kaiga to increase the CSR area limit from the current 16 km radius to 32Km.
“Most of the region in the current 16 km radius is mostly forests. If it increased to 32 kms it will bring more settlement and will provide you an ample space and opportunity to utilise the CSR fund for larger population and areas,” he said.
“We request Kaiga to fulfill our needs which would benefit four taluks(Karwar, Ankola, Joida, Yellapur) falling under the radius of Kaiga’s CSR limit. It will fulfill the wishes of our people who have sacrificed a lot for this country, be it for Seabird project, Kadra and Kaiga,”
