DC G Jagadish directs officials to organise Raitha Santhe
Udupi, Feb 19, 2021: Udupi DC G Jagadeesh directed the officials to organise ‘Raitha Santhe,‘ at the Raitha Seva Kendra premises every Thursday.
This would provide direct market facility to the farmers and fresh vegetables and fruits to the people.
G Jagadeesh presided over the district committee meeting of Raitha Seva Kendra today.
He asked the officials to provide an Identity Card to the farmers who participate in the Raitha Santhe. The DC also directed Horticulture Department Deputy Director to receive the applications from those who are interested in participating in the Santhe.
The meeting was attended by Raitha Seva Kendra district committee members, shop owners, Benagal Vegetable Growers Society secretary and others were present.
