Commissioner of Railway safety to inspect double line between Netravathi and Mangaluru Central
Mangaluru, Feb 08, 2021: Commissioner of Railway safety (Southern Circle Bengaluru) A.K.Rai, will inspect the newly laid double line section between Netravathi Cabin and Mangaluru Central from 9 am to 12.30 pm tomorrow.
As part of the doubling in the section, construction of 1.663 km long line was completed with modifications in the existing Points and Crossings, Signalling arrangements, Bridges, Level Crossings and Road Over Bridges. Train operations system at Mangaluru Central has also been upgraded from the Route Relay Interlocking System to State of the art -Electronic Interlocking System.
During the statutory inspection, CRS will inspect Railway Track, Points & Crossings, Signal arrangements, Bridges, Level Crossings, Road Over Bridges and newly introduced Electronic Interlocking system etc.
CRS will be accompanied by E. Srinivas.- Deputy Commissioner for Railway Safety, Southern Circle, Bengaluru, Prafulla Verma, Chief Administrative Officer, Southern Railway, Construction, Ernakulam, Trilok Kothari -Divisional Railway Manager, Southern Railway , Palakkad and Shaji Zachariah ,Chief Engineer,Southern Railway Construction, Ernakulam.
