Outreach activity by Indian Coast Guard
Mangaluru, Jan 30, 2021: To commemorate the 45th Indian Coast Guard Raising Day, ICGS Savitribai Phule in coordination with Headquarters, Coast Guard District (Karnataka) organised outreach activity at Sneha Deep Orphanage.
The program was organised to commemorate the 45th Indian Coast Guard Raising Day.
The officers and men of Coast Guard distributed Grocery items, including daily essentials and stationary items to the orphanage.
Indian Coast Guard has been organizing various activities and events every year to commemorate its raising day on Feb 1 with an aim to spread messages of social harmony, brotherhood and unity among the people.
Sneha Deep, a centre for HIV children run by Tabassum, takes care of 26 girl children and is an example of social harmony and unity. The outreach activity received overwhelming response.
The event was inaugurated by the Commanding Officer ICGS Savitribai Phule on behalf of Commander Coast Guard, Karnataka. The Officers and men of Indian Coast Guard interacted with the children at the centre and encouraged them to work harder and progress in life.
Culmination of the event was marked by motivational speech by the Commanding Officer to all children of the centre.
