Three drown at Gokarna beach

The three are employees of a Garment factory in Bengaluru

Gokarna, Jan 21, 2021: Three tourists died due to drowning at Gokarna main beach on Thursday afternoon.

A group of about 16 friends had come to Gokarna from Bengaluru. Of these five had ventured into the sea on Thursday afternoon around 1.30 pm. They were enjoying the water when they were caught in the wave.

Police said that two were saved by the local lifeguards. However, three drowned in water.

Body of Suma (22), Tippeswamy (21) and Ravi Kumar (40) have been recovered. A case is registered at Gokarna Police Station.
