Fisherman accidentally falls off boat, dies
Udupi, Jan 16, 2021: The body of a fisherman who accidentally fell into the sea three days ago has been found off Malpe coast.
Fishermen Umesh, Rama, Sharath, Chudamani, Sudhakara Venkanna Hosakatti, and Tukaram Bobbakar has ventured into the sea for fishing in the boat belonging to Somashekhar Bangera of Malpe on January 13.
Sudhakara Venkanna Hosakatti (39) accidentally fell into the sea when he was pulling the net in the boat. Other fishermen tried to rescue him but could not find him.
The search operation continued and on January 15 the fishermen of the same boat found the dead body of Sudhakar off Malpe Port. An Unnatural Death Report (UDR) is registered at Malpe station.
