Snake catcher dies of Cobra bite in Udupi

Kundapura, Jan 15, 2021: A snake catcher died of snake bite at Hengavalli village in Kundapur taluk yesterday.

The incident took place at 3.15 pm yesterday when Mohammed Alam, a snake catcher, went to catch Cobra that was near the house of Chandra Poojary of Hengavalli village.

Alam had been to catch the snake when it suddenly bit him. Though he was immediately rushed to Sri Durga Hospital at Haladi and later to Manipal KMC, Alam failed to respond to medicine and died.

An Unnatural Death Report is registered at Shankarnarayana Police Station.
