Karwar, Jan 13, 2021: Uttara Kannada Zilla Panchayat president Jayashri Moger has asked the officials to ensure all safety measures are taken in schools and colleges in the backdrop of COVID.
She was speaking at the KDP meeting held at the ZP office today.
“We have received complaints that there are shortcomings in some schools and colleges on the safety measures. We have been told that some schools have not been sanitized properly. Few have complained to us about the lack of cleanliness in the toilets and no proper supply of hot water for drinking. The concerned officials should look into it and solve the problem at the earliest,” she directed the officials.
She also suggested providing hot milk once a week to the students. “This will provide necessary nutrients to them,” she opined.
With summer fast approaching Zilla Panchayat CEO Priyanga M directed the officials to take necessary precautionary measures to ensure people do not face drinking water problem.
“All the officials should take the necessary steps to ensure that there is no water crisis during the summer. If there is any problem, the concerned officials will be held responsible,” she warned.
