Kanakapura man drowns near Malpe
Udupi, Dec 25, 2020: A tourist from Kanakapura who had come to St Mary’s island in Udupi died due to drowning on Friday.
According to sources, one Mahesh a software engineer from Kanakapura had come with his wife and children to St Mary’s island.
The family was playing in the water when a huge wave hit the two kids. It is said that Mahesh drowned when he tried to safeguard his children.
Though the staff from Jai Hanuman Speed Boat tried to rescue Mahesh, they failed. He died while being taken to hospital.
A case is registered at Malpe station.
