Muslim Okkuta condemns attack on Head Constable

Mangaluru, Dec 17, 2020: Dakshina Kannada Muslim Okkuta has strongly condemned the attack on the police constable on Wednesday.

“We strongly condemn the attack on head police constable who was on duty near Car Street. Police officials help in protecting people. Attack on them is a serious crime,” Okkuta president and former Mayor K Ashraf said in a press statement.

“The police should immediately arrest those behind this attack and take legal action against them. Meanwhile, it will be wrong to display this attack as a retaliation to the last year’s police firing at the anti-NRC protest last year. Senior police officials should conduct a detailed probe into this attack,” he added.
