Car Street open for two wheelers from Dec 1
Mangaluru, Nov 30, 2020: Finally the Car street road will be open for two-wheelers from December 1.
“As the development work in Car street undertaken under Mangaluru Smart City Project is almosts complete local residents had requested to allow two-wheelers. After discussing with the officials we have concluded to allow two-wheelers on this route from tomorrow,” MLA Vedavyas Kamath said.
Kamath, accompanied by Smart City Project officials supervised the work at Car street today morning.
“Concretization of the road is almost complete. Drainage and MESCOM related works are pending. For the convenience of the public and the local businessmen two-wheelers will be allowed from December 1,” he said.
Kamath thanked the residents for their cooperation and suggestions.
“The pending works will be completed at the earliest to ensure that all types of vehicles are allowed,” he assured.
Health Standing committee chairperson Poornima, BJP leaders Muralidhar Nayak, Ramesh Hegde, Hariprasad, Nagarika Hitarakshana Samithi chief Hanumanth Kamath, Smart City Project Executive Engineer Linge Gowda, Arun Prabha, MESCOM officials, and others were present.
