Tapta Mudradharana at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha
Udupi, Nov 26, 2020: Tapta Mudradharana was held at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha on the occasion of ‘Deva Prabodhini Ekadashi,’ on Thursday.
Prabodhini Ekadashi marks the awakening of Lord Vishnu from his four-month-long Yoga Nidra. As per the tradition ‘Chaturmasa,’ observed by the Swamijis ends on this day.
At Udupi Sri Krishna Matha, Sri Sudarshana Homa was held in the morning as part by Chief priest Mudarangadi Lakshmisha Acharya.
After applying the Mudra on himself, Pejawara Matadhipathi Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Sripadaru applied it to Paryaya Peetadhipathi Sri Eeshapriya Teertha Sripadaru. Later devotees who had gathered in large numbers took part in the Mudradharana ritual.
Matha had taken all COVID precautionary measures including social distancing.
