SDPI demands Kalladka Bhat’s arrest
Mangaluru, Nov 19: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI)- Ullal Unit staged a protest demanding immediate arrest of RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat for his recent statement comparing Ullal to Pakistan.
“In a function held at Keshava Shishu Mandira at Kinya, Prabhakar Bhat had compared Ullal to Pakistan. SDPI condemns such statement,” the memorandum submitted by Ullal Unit president Abbas Kinya stated.
“People of Dakshina Kannada district are leading a peaceful life. But Sangh Parivar that cannot tolerate this is trying for communal polarisation. For several years Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat’s speeches have led to communal tensions,” the memorandum added.
The party demanded the police to immediately arrest Prabhakar Bhat.
“He is repeatedly giving such statements and raking up communal tension. His statement equating Ullal to Pakistan should be considered as anti-national and he should be arrested at the earliest,” the protesters demanded.
