Mangaluru, Aug 12: Holding SDPI and PFI responsible for the Bengaluru riots, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has demanded the government to ban these organizations.
VHP lead by Vibhag Karyadarshi Sharan Pumpwell met Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai at Mangaluru and submitted a memorandum to him.
The leaders suspected ISI’s role behind the Bengaluru riots and so have demanded an NIA probe into it.
“It was a well-planned act. It was like a terror act creating fear among the people. Houses were stoned, police, and media persons were attacked. Vehicles and police station were set ablaze. It is clear that SDPI and PFI are behind this,” the memorandum stated.
“Similar incident had happened in Mangaluru also during anti CAA protest in December 2019. Police investigations have revealed SDPI and PFI role in the attack and murder of Hindu organization workers in the state in different parts of the state,” the memorandum stated.
“The government should take the incident seriously and ban PFI and SDPI. As ISI’s role is suspected, the NIA should investigate the case,” VHP leaders demanded.
VHP district president Gopal Kuttar, District Secretary Shivanand Mendon, Vibhag Sanchalak Bhujang Kulal, District Vice president Manohar Suvarna and District convener Puneet Attavar were present.
