Bengaluru violance: Govt orders Magisterial Enquiry
Bengaluru, Aug 12: A Magisterial Enquiry has been ordered into the BEngaluru riots.
Violence erupted after a protesting mob turned violent in front of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivasamurthy’s house. They were angry on a Facebook post posted by a relative of the MLA.
Miscreants pelted stones at the police station and also the houses. Police had to resort to firing to control the situation. Three died in the incident.
The police have arrested more than 100 people.
On Wednesday evening the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa tweeted that a Magisterial Enquiry has been ordered into the violence that took place at Devara Geevana Halli and Kadu Gondana Halli.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ದೇವರಜೀವನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಹಾಗು ಕಾಡುಗೊಂಡನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣಾ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನೆ ನಡೆದ ಗಲಭೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮ್ಯಾಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರೇಟ್ ರವರಿಂದ ಸಮಗ್ರ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಆದೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
