Rain batters Dakshina Kannada for second day: Videos and Photos

Mangaluru, Aug 08: With the forest area in the Western Ghats receiving heavy rain, the water level in all the rivers increased on Saturday morning.
People living in low laying areas in Bantwal were shifted to safer places on Saturday. Except for a few incidents of damage to houses and agricultural land, no untoward incident was reported in any place.
As the rain receded in the afternoon, the water level too decreased in the rivers and rivulets.
In Udupi district, 11 houses were damaged.
