Mangaluru, Aug 08: Dakshina Kannada district administration has extended the validity of the passes issued to travel between Karnataka and Kerala.

Due to the prevalent restriction for inter-state movement of persons due to COVID-19 pandemic, e-passes have been already issued by the Assistant Commissioner Mangaluru to the residents of Kasargod district, Kerala to facilitate the movement of professionals, students, and others workers to carry out their day to day occupational activities in Dakshina Kannada district for entry only through Talapady checkpost.

“The aforementioned passes were valid until July 11. However, to prevent inconvenience to all such pass holders, it is hereby notified that all such passes shall be valid until 10 pm of September 8. All e-pass holders are directed to strictly follow the national directives issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI, in Unlock-3 order dated July 29, 2020,” the notification by Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner stated.
