It’s red alert in Coastal Karnataka
Mangaluru, Aug 04: The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert with forecast of extremely heavy rain at isolated places in all the three Coastal Karnataka districts on August 4.
Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada have been receiving heavy rainfall accompanied by string wind since Monday evening.
Earlier in the day the IMD had issued orange alert.
In the afternoon forecast issued at 1 pm the IMD warned rainfall most likely at many places with heavy to extremely very heavy rainfall at isolated places in all the three coastal districts on Tuesday.
