Mangaluru, July 17: Dakshina Kannada district saw a huge surge in the COVID number with 311 cases on Friday.
This is the highest ever number of COVID cases in a single day which Dakshina Kannada has recorded.
However interestingly the state bulletin does not have this number. It mentions the total number of positives in the district on Friday as 39. The press statement by the Deputy Commissioner stated that the number of positives in the district was 311 but wrongly mentioned as 39 in the state bulletin due to technical problems.
Meanwhile, the total number of positives in the district crossed the 3,000 mark. The total number of positives increased on Friday to 3,074.
