Udupi yet to decide on Lockdown
A decision would be taken at a meeting on Tuesday
Udupi, July 13: Will there be a lockdown in Udupi? A final decision would be taken on this at a meeting on Tuesday.
Udupi DC G Jagadesh who spoke to reporters after the video conference with the CM said that the government had left the decision of imposing lockdown to the respective districts.
“A meeting of elected representatives including MP, MLAs, and Minister would be held on Tuesday morning. We will see if the situation can be controlled without imposing lockdown or if it is necessary. A final decision would be taken there,” he said.
In case there is no lockdown, the district administration proposes to seal down its borders and control the movement within the district too.
Sources say that some of the elected representatives are not much keen on imposing lockdown in Udupi.
However, a final decision would be only after Tuesday’s meeting.
