One week lockdown in Dakshina Kannada
Mangaluru, July 13: It will be a week lockdown in Dakshina Kannada district from Thursday.
District Incharge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary declared this after the Chief Minister held a Video Conference with the elected representatives and officials on Monday morning.
“I, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and Deputy Commissioner had discussions with the CM. He asked the districts to decide on lockdown. The elected representatives and eminent people feel Lockdown inevitable for some days to control COVID. So we will have one-week lockdown starting from Thursday (that is Wednesday night),” Kota Srinivas Poojary said.
“There are three days left for lockdown. I request people to purchase their daily needs and groceries for one week. From Wednesday night the district will have a lockdown,” he said.
He added that the guidelines would be shortly released by the DC and requested cooperation from the public.
