ILI cases on the rise in DK, district records 196 on Sunday
Mangaluru, July 12: Dakshina Kannada recorded 196 positives on Sunday! This is the highest one-day number in Dakshina Kannada district. The total number of positives in the district is now 2,230.
Karnataka on Sunday recorded 2,627 cases of which Bengaluru Urban recorded 1,525 cases. Of the 71 deaths recorded in the state today, 45 are from Bengaluru Urban.
Dakshina Kannada: Of the 196 cases, 91 are with influenza-like illness, 20 primary contacts, and 16 with a respiratory infection. Ten people who had come from abroad tested positive and pre-delivery samples of two tested positives. The Source of 57 patients is under tracing.

2. 72-year-old person died on July 11
3. 50-year-old person died on July 11
4. 68-year-old woman died on July 12
5. 55-year-old person died on July 12
Udupi: The district recorded 41 positive cases. Of these 2 returned from Mumbai, 1 from Saudi Arabia, and 6 from other districts. Meanwhile, 32 are primary contacts.
Death: A 70-year-old from Davangere died increasing the total number of death in the district to four.
