Udupi govt hospital soon to get COVID testing lab: Minister Sudhakar
Udupi: Minister for Medical Education Dr. Sudhakar has stated that a COVID testing lab would be operational at the Government Hospital within ten days.
Dr. Sudhakar held a meeting with the elected representatives and officials regarding the COVID-19 situation in Udupi on Wednesday.
“The civil work of the lab is towards completion. Necessary machines would be provided shortly,” the minister said.
Instead of institutional quarantine for those who come from other states, the MLAs wanted the Minister to seal down their houses and provide necessary supplies to them.
The Minister proposed to have task force from the village level to district headquarters to keep a tab on COVID.
Dr. Sudhakar asked the people not to panic though Udupi has the highest number of positive cases.
He said that it was because of the increase in the number of tests.
