Family threatens ASHA worker in Bantwal
Mangaluru: An ASHA worker was allegedly threatened by a family at Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada district on March 10.

On May 10 around 10.45 am, during her visit, she noticed several vehicles parked near the house of one Vishwanath Acharya. As there were many people there, Pushpalatha questioned Vishwanath Acharya about it.
Enrage by this, Acharya and his wife allegedly scolded, tried to assault her with a broomstick.
When the village task force chief was told about this, he too came to the spot and allegedly scolded and threatened.

Based on the complaint of Pushpalatha, a case has been registered at Punjalkatte police station under IPC Section 504, 506 and 5(2) along with Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act.
