About 219 Paurakarmikas felicitated at Udupi. Rs 2,000 cheque and 10 kg rice distributed.

Udupi: It was a special program at Udupi. About 219 Paurakarmikas, supervisors and drivers who were instrumental in ensuring cleanliness in the city were felicitated at a program organized on Monday morning.
During lockdown when people were safe inside their house, these Paurakarmikas were involved in ensuring cleanliness in the 35 wards of Udupi City. Cleanliness and Hygiene plays an important role in the fight against COVID-19.
Thus a program was organized to felicitate these warriors under the leadership of MLA Mr. Raghupathi Bhat in association with Karamballi Venkataramana Brahmakalashotsav Samithi.
Mr. Bhat thanked the efforts of the civic body and the Paurakarmikas during the program organised at Udupi Town Hall .
Noting that these Paurakarmikas played an active role in Udupi getting the tag of the green zone, every Paurakarmika was provided a cheque of Rs 2,000 each and 10 kg rice.
Karamballi Venkataramana Temple Brahmakalashotsava Samithi president Yashpal Suvarna, Praveen Shetty Kappettu, Kadiyali Ganeshotsava Samithi secretary Raghavendra Kini, Udupi CMC Commissioner Anand C. Kallolikar environmental engineer Sneha were present.
