COVID-19: Samples sent for testing at Wenlock and Hassan lab
Mangaluru: With an increase in the number of samples, the Dakshina Kannada district administration has sent some of them to Hassan for COVID-19 testing.
District Administration’s official bulletin stated that of the 351 samples 160 were sent to Hassan and 151 to Wenlock Lab. In total, the reports of 662 samples are awaited.

Earlier the samples from Dakshina Kannada were being sent to Hassan. But since April a lab is operational at Wenlock Hospital. Samples from DK, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are tested here.
Officials said that both the patients- P-578 and P-579 who tested positive today have been shifted to Wenlock Hospital for treatment.
As on Friday ASHA and MPW workers have completed Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) at 2,98,958 houses in the district.
Of the 24 positive cases, the district has nine active cases. Two died last week and one patient died yesterday.
