Two more tested COVID-19 positive in Dakshina Kannada

Breaking: 

P-578 is from Bantwal and P-579 is from Mangaluru 

Mangaluru: Two more persons from Dakshina Kannada district tested COVID-19 positive increasing the total number to 24.

P-578 is a 69-year-old person from Bantwal Taluk. He is the secondary contact of P-390. P-579 is a 62-year-old person from Boloor in Mangaluru City. He is the primary contact of P-536.

P-578 is the first patent in Dakshina Kannada where a secondary contact tested positive.
P-390 was the 50-year-old woman from Bantwal who died on April 19. All the primary and secondary contacts were identified and quarantined. The swabs were sent for testing and P-578 tested positive today.
P-579 is the primary contact of P-536. The latter was the patient at First Neuro hospital.

The number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district is now increased to 24. In 11 days the district has recorded 10 positive cases of which six are from Bantwal Taluk and four from Mangaluru City Corporation limits.
